MISIA ダボス会議スピーチ / MISIA's special talk session at Davos Forum 2013

ご紹介ありがとうございます。皆様始めまして、MISIAです。

私は音楽をきっかけに、アフリカを知りました。

これまでアフリカを何度か訪問し、たくさんのことを学んできました。

 

３週間ほど前に、私はセネガルへ行き、日本の援助で出来た給水塔を視察しました。

そのとき、給水塔が女性や子ども達の生活も変えていくことを学びました。

水汲みから解放されたことによって、子どもが学校に行く時間ができたり、女性は働いたり、女性自身も識字学校などに通う時間ができるなど、一つの問題解決が、ミレニアム開発目標の課題に繋がるような、多くの問題解決へと繋がることを実感しました。

 とりわけ、子どもの教育と、女性の地位向上は、貧困から抜け出す大きな力になっていると感じました。

 

世界のことを知ることは、自分の暮らす世界を知ることでもあります。

そして、それは大切なものを守っていくことに繋がると思います。

誰かが誰かを想うこと。

私たちの幸せは、人と人とが繋がりあうところで生まれると思います。

Thank you for the kind introduction. I am MISIA, and it is a pleasure to meet you all.

Through music I knew about Africa. Later I learned about its problems.

I then had the privilege to visit. Ever since I’ve seen and learned much.

I believe, to know about the world is to know about our lives, and it links to keeping what is precious for everyone's future.

 

I believe, everything is about love, the love we commit to one another, and we can reach at our happiness when we care for one another. Yes, together we can make it.

"Knowledge is the doorway"....

I ask you to learn more about Ticad, and offer your support for peace, and all our futures.

She attended the chat program titled 'Everything- Together We Can Make It' with Mme. Sadako Ogata, Former UN High Commissioner for Refugees and JICA Special Advisor.
